UNWFP funded project – China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Iran

Reference Project:  Provision of good and services to mitigate the effects of air pollution in various UNWFP offices Brief Description:  ESS is responsible for assessing (including sampling and analysis) the indoor air quality in UNHCR offices, consulting and providing mitigation services for client locations.  This project was a contract addition to the UNHCR project based on our positive performance and response to the UNHCR team.

US Government/CH2M Hill Managed – Johnstoll, United States

Reference Project:  USAFCEE Herbicide Orange Remediation Project Brief Description:  ESS responsible for development of point source measurement protocol; conduct of sampling and analysis; issuance of confirmatory and summary reports; soil sampling and analysis for corroboration to emission data; sourcing and installing temporary CEMS for continuous monitoring of stack emissions.

Daelim San Buenaventura Philippines – Philippines

Reference Project:  Unit 1 Performance Testing (isokinetic and gaseous), Water Testing, Ash/Coal Sampling for overall equipment performance, CEMS/COMS and PM CEMS Certification Brief Description:  ESS is responsible for assessing (including sampling and analysis) the indoor air quality in UNHCR offices, consulting and providing mitigation services for client locations.

RITCO – Royal Industrial Technical Corporation – Indonesia

Reference Project: CEMS Certification – Gaseous Criteria Pollutants, Flowrate, Dust/PM & Opacity Brief Description:  ESS conduct 40 CFR Part 60/75 Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) Relative Accuracy Test Audit and certification services.  The plant has a World Bank funding component.

Chip Mong Insee Cement Corporation – Cambodia

Reference Project:  Emissions Testing Brief Description:  ESS conduct emissions testing on the main stack; emissions sampling on three (3) other non-combustion stacks; and, CEMS/COMS audit and annual service for the Facility referenced as Insee Cambodia Chip Mong Cement Plant – Cambodia

Daewoo Engineering and Construction – Morroco

Reference Project:  Pre-Commissioning Activities, Commissioning Activities, CEMS/COMS and PM CEMS Certification and verification Brief Description:  ESS responsible for development of point source measurement protocol; conduct of sampling and analysis; issuance of confirmatory and summary reports; soil sampling and analysis for corroboration to emission data; sourcing and installing temporary CEMS for continuous monitoring of stack emissions.

US Government Managed Project/US EPA (AirNow) Agency Oversight

Reference Project(s):  US State Department (and UNIS) installed and managed ambient air stations Brief Description:  ESS was contracted for the initial installation of three (3) ambient air stations within Viet Nam (US Embassy and UNIS in Ha Noi and US Consulate in HCMC) as part of the US EPA Managed Air Now Network.  ESS provides all IT, interfacing and maintenance/repair services as required by contract.

Multi-lateral Development Bank Funded Project (IMF) – Cite Soleil, Haiti

Reference Project:  E-Power, Cite Soleil Plant Commissioning, Permitting, Environmental Mgmt Brief Description:  ESS responsible for initial certification and commissioning support, permit modifications and all relevant air, soil, water and noise sampling for initial and ongoing compliance with IFC requirements.  ESS project participation continuously since 2012.

Mabuhay Filcement, Inc. – San Fernando, Philippines

Reference Project:  Mabuyhay CEMS Project Brief Description:  ESS responsible for design, build, installation, integration of proprietary CEMS communication equipment for direct contact with regulatory agency.  Turnkey project including provision of one-year maintenance contract, consumables, etc.  Project reviewed and accepted by Philippine EMB.

United Nations International School – Ha Noi, Viet Nam (UNIS) Continuous Ambient Air Equipment monitoring station

Reference Project(s):  UNIS CAMS for International School, Viet Nam Brief Description:  ESS is a distributor for AeroQual and procured, installed and has maintained the equipment for five years.  ESS provides all IT, interfacing and maintenance/repair services as required by contract.

Apex Equipment Sales/Training/Distribution

Reference Project(s):  Multiple Client Project Needs Across Philippines and Viet Nam (Specific references upon demand) Brief Description:  ESS is a distributor for Apex Instruments and has procured, installed and maintained hundreds of Apex isokinetic components across the East and SE Asian region.  We regularly provide classroom and on-site trainings and assist our clients to better operate source sampling equipment.

AirGas Specialty Gases – US EPA Calibration Gases/Certified Gases/Specialty Blends

Reference Project(s):  Multiple Client Project Needs Across Philippines and SE Asia (Specific references upon demand) Brief Description:  ESS is a distributor for AirGas and has procured and delivered hundreds of AirGas Specialty Gases across the East and SE Asian region.  We regularly conduct client site evaluations and assist our clients to more efficiently order and maintain proper calibration/specialty gas stocks.

UNHCR funded project – China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Iran, Indonesia

Reference Project:  Indoor air studies in corporate offices, regional refugee facilities and ancillary support buildings to identify building in-leakages, quantify air pollution and mitigate conditions with air purification equipment. Brief Description:  ESS is responsible for conducting room/corridor pressurization testing, air quality assessment (including sampling and analysis) and mitigation of the indoor air quality in UNHCR offices, outposts and ancillary structures.

Tetra Pak LEED Building Evaluation and Consulting

Reference Project:  LEED V4 CI project on Office, Support, Warehouse and Production areas of Packaging Plant. Brief Description:  ESS was responsible for conduct of all LEED V4 CI measurements in referenced areas plus the conduct of individual testing of unclassified building materials under pursuant to CDPH/EHLB/Standard Method V1.2.  All assessments and completion conducted pursuant to required timeline and met applicable LEED goals.

UNDP Funded Project – Ha Noi, Viet Nam

Reference Project:  UNDP Green Building – Measurement and Environmental Analysis during construction stage Brief Description:  ESS responsible for noise monitoring, collection and measurement of ambient air targets (SO2, NO2, O3, TSP), collection and measurement of water targets (pH, BOD5, COD, Oil/Grease, TSS, Coliform).  Sampling conducted over span of approximately twenty-four (24) months at project site.  ESS responsible for establishing test protocols and plans; management of environmental technicians; interfacing with applicable UNDP management; and all sampling and analysis.

Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment

ESS provided verbiage, editing and consulting services related to the promulgation of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment circulars 24/2017/TT-BTNMT and 31/2016/TT-BTNMT.  These circulars/ regulations further delineated the environmental measurement techniques and rules for verifying and certifying continuous emission monitoring system (CEMS) within Viet Nam.  We directly supported the CEM (operated under the VEA) for this task.

Chevron – Australia/Philippines/Kuwait

Reference Project(s):  Emission Control Equipment Design, Build and Installation Brief Description:  ESS was contracted for development of control technologies for to support Chevron ETC soil/sludge proprietary remediation technology.  Work included all design, build and installation - including bench and pilot scale development, for projects in Philippines, Australia and Kuwait.

ESS Funded Brownfield Redevelopment – Charlotte, NC USA

Reference Project:  Former Terrell Machine Shop conversion to Mixed Use Brief Description:  ESS purchased a contaminated parcel in downtown Charlotte for the purpose of remediating and working in parallel with developer to return property to active use site.  ESS conducted all site delineation, development of protocols and treatment strategies, remediation and sequestering of soils.  The former Terrell Machine Shop property was the second Brownfield Agreement issued by the NC DENR.
